- La Chunga (Micaela Flores Amaya) was a Spanish flamenco dancer and painter of naïve art. On this EP, released in Spain only, she sings (‘canta’). For more information, see this Wikipedia page (although her singing career is not mentioned).
- Shown is a reissue with a much later label design, but the Minigroove logo is still shown on the back cover. I had not seen this combination before, but it appears to be correct, as the exact same copy is shown on Discogs. The original issue, with the Minigroove logo on the labels, is from 1959. It was reissued several times on Philips and also once on the Pergola label (10099 B). This Pergola reissue (from 1967) has the same label lay-out as the Phillips issue shown here, but that’s no coincidence – Discogs explains: “the Pergola record label was introduced to the European market by Philips in 1961”.
- The fifth image in the gallery above shows the inner sleeve this record came in.
