- This is a somewhat odd album as it was released with several catalog numbers. The Dutch issue shown here, is not on Discogs, but what is shown are two similar issues: S 10178 R (in two variations, as part of the Favoriten Serie, as shown on the labels, both German issues) and A 00178 R (also a German issue with maroon Minigroove labels). In the UK this album was released with number SBR 6217, referring to the Dutch issue, shown here…
- In the Netherlands, this 10 inch album was released as a “Popular” album (hence the P in the catalog number), while in Germany and the UK this album was filed under classical (A and S in the catalog numbers).
- P 10178 R (the one shown here) was reviewed in 1957 (De Maasbode; March 16, 1957), click here to see the review. It’s possible that the German issue with maroon labels is from an earlier date.
- As this album features highlights of the operette, there must be a full version as well. I have no information about it.
