Notes:
- Shown is a 1953 reissue of an album first issued in 1952. The first pressing has a custom cover, which was replaced by a cover especially designed for this release. The new cover is shown above. Oddly enough, the custom cover only mentions the works of Bach.
- Side 1 of this album (Bach) was reissued in 1956, as part of Philips’ Favourites Series (10 inch), with number S 06105 R. Side B of S 06105 R featured a work by Handel.
- Side 2 of this album (Beethoven) was also issued on Philips N 11218 G and N 11219 G (a 12 inch 78rpm set, 1952). In 1954, the Beethoven pieces were issued in Philips’ Favourites Series (10 inch), with number S 06000 R. Then once more, in the late 1950’s probably, these pieces were reissued in the 45rpm format: 313 011 SF (No.1) and 313 002 SF (No. 2).
- There are more reissues of this material on Philips and other labels. In the USA, this album was released on Epic LC 3036 (1954).
