Notes:

  • This Christmas 10 inch album was issued with a number that belongs to the Classical Favourites series, but apart from the number there’s no resemblance to that series. This makes it a somewhat odd release, probably from 1958.

  • Shown is the first pressing of G 05340 R. A follow-up release has this text added at the bottom of the back cover: “On front of cover: “Nativity” – Master of the Brunswick diptych (Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam)”. Other than this addition the differences are minimal.

  • This album was originally issued on Philips N 00618 R (titled “Christmas Carols 1”) in 1952 (?). Philips released a second Christmas album (titled “Kerstliederen”) with number N 00619 R (one number up!), which featured six songs from N 00618 R plus two new songs added (“Hoe Leit Dit Kindeken” and “O Du Fröhliche, O Du Selige”). Album N 00619 R was reissued with number G 05341 R (also titled “Kerstliederen”).
