– Jazz EP’s

Though I decided not to buy Philips 7 inch singles and EP’s anymore, I couldn’t resist when I found a collection of jazz EP’s recently. They are listed below.

Philips 421 028 BE: Lionel Hampton

Philips 421 104 BE: Svend Asmussen

Philips 421 500 PE: Bengt Hallberg a.o. (Jazz From Sweden No. 1)

Philips 421 501 PE: Bengt-Arne Wallin a.o. (Various (Jazz From Sweden No. 2)

Philips 421 506 PE: Willy Lundin a.o. (Jazz From Sweden No. 7)

The above three EP’s are from the “Jazz From Sweden” series. There were probably eight EP’s in this series and a selection of tracks also appeared on an LP (“Jazz From Sweden”, Philips B 08200 L).

Philips 421 513 PE: Bengt Hallberg

Philips 422 041 BE: Pia Beck

Philips 422 148 PE: Herbie Mann

This is part 2 of the 3 EP series “Salute To The Flute” by Herbie Mann with the Wessel Ilcken Combo. Click here for part 3.

Both “Take The ‘A’ Train” and “Out Of Nowhere” were also on Philips LP B 07025 L.
