Scans were added for Philips P 10001 R, one of the earliest Philips 10 inch releases.

Last Friday I found several LP’s (10 & 12 inch) and EP’s, which have all been added to the website, though no scans yet. When I started this website, I didn’t realize how much was issued by Philips in the 1950’s. It didn’t stop me from purchasing, but sometimes it’s a bit frustrating too.

Today , images were added for Philips B 07025 L, an album by the Dave Brubeck Quartet, first released on Philips in 1955.

Scans were added for Philips A 02023 L, an album by I Musici, performing works of Locatelli. The album was issued in the Musicae Monumenta Italicae series.

Last week I acquired a late 1950’s vinyl postcard, showing the word ‘Minigroove’ on the back. I was fooled, thinking it was a Philips release, but it wasn’t. Because of its curiosity, I decided to mention it on this website. Click on the image below to see larger images, read more information and to listen to the song by Marco Secundo.

Last two weeks I bought several Philips Minigroove titles, including a few jazz albums and several classical albums, among them four double albums (two boxes). All of these newbies have been added to the tables, though without images yet.
